The BooksfromScotland.com site was set up to showcase and sell the widest possible range of Scottish-interest books. As well as providing an online bookshop, we felt that we needed to go behind the books and profile the writers, the publishers, the genres and the events, and bring together all the information in one site.
What kinds of books do we sell? In order to make the best possible range available, we aim to be inclusive. Any title that has a connection with Scotland, with a place, a city, or written by a writer with Scottish connections, either by birth, or by residence should be included. We welcome your suggestions, either as writers, publishers or customers, as to new books to go onto the site.
As an information site, we feature an ever-growing selection of author biographies and interviews; features, essays, and articles; local book information and maps of Scottish books and authors; reviews and extracts to read and download - and much more besides.
We are wholly owned by Publishing Scotland.
