Irregular - Literary Cabaret 17 March
14/03/2010
THE FRUIT OF TIMIDITY IS NEITHER GAIN NOR LOSS
... What have you got to lose?
Canongate's literary cabaret is back for 2010, on Wednesday March 17th.
We're excited about our new venue, the desanctified Roxy Art House, and are celebrating the returning of the light with a night of the dark stuff. It promises to be sleeker than the scoundrel Elvis and cheekier than the good man Jesus and we only hope you can be part of it too ... Plus you and a friend get in for HALF PRICE if you print and bring along this flyer.
Featuring words and music from:-
MJ HYLAND - cutting edge fiction from Booker-Prize-nominated author
DENISE MINA - thrilling new work from Queen of noir
CHRISTOPHER BROOKMYRE - demented, blood-spattered crime from Glasgow's own
JENNY LINDSAY - with compèring and fly verse from Edinburgh's finest stage poet
DAVID LAMB - premiering new video installations
THE BLACK DIAMOND EXPRESS - not forgetting swampy musical delights from the down-at-the-crossroads 9-piece spectacular
...and IRREGULAR DJs till late, free tequila for first 30 punters and a free book for all.
Wednesday 17th March :: 8pm till late :: Tickets £5
